Frequently Asked Questions

What should we expect when we land in Anchorage?

If you’ve rented a vehicle from Foster’s…then there are no lines, no waiting and no hassle. Once you land, call Alaska Park at (907) 402-2222 and give them the claim number that Foster’s has texted you prior to your arrival. Alaska Park will shuttle your party to their facility, where you’ll find your vehicle running, curbside. Make your way to Foster’s Alaska Cabins over a beautiful three-hour drive to 1005 Angler Drive in Kenai, where you’ll check-in to your cabin.

If you haven’t rented a vehicle from Foster’s…you will need to arrange for a rental car and then make your way to Foster’s Alaska Cabins over a beautiful three-hour drive to 1005 Angler Drive in Kenai, where you’ll check-in to your cabin.

If you are flying into Kenai…please refer to your itinerary, which will include directions on where to go once you’ve hit Anchorage.

What type of clothing and gear should we bring?

Plan for cooler weather, especially when you’ll be fishing from the boats on the water. The boats typically head out early in the morning while temperatures are significantly cooler. It’s always a good idea to layer your clothing, so you can shed them as the sun comes out during those warm Alaskan afternoons. It’s not uncommon for temperatures to read in the 70s from June-August. If you have rain gear please bring it, otherwise Foster’s will provide rain equipment for guests who book a package, as well as boots or chest waders as needed on scheduled adventures.

How much is my deposit?

Foster’s Alaska Cabins requires half of your payment at the time of booking as a deposit. The other half of your bill is to be paid upon arrival. Deposits are refundable when trips are cancelled within 60 days of the planned arrival date. Cancelling the reservation within 60 days of arrival puts the entire deposit at risk.

What do I do with the fish I catch?

Foster’s takes care of everything for guests who reserve their trip as a package – as soon as they return to the cabins all of their caught fish are checked into the “Vac Shack” on the property. Foster’s will process and vacuum pack the fish as either 1.5-pound bags or whole fillets and return your fish to the freezer on your cabin’s front porch. At the end of the trip, Foster’s will pack one fish box per package guest and either send it with the guest or arrange to ship the fish at an additional cost.

What is included in a package if I were to purchase one?

EVERYTHING is included when you reserve a package with Foster’s Alaska Cabins, besides your airfare to Anchorage and the cost of your fishing license. Please Click Here to secure a fishing license online through the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Packages are all-inclusive and come with: a rental vehicle, lodging, all meals and snacks, water and beverages, guided trips and activities, all of the necessary equipment and gear for the duration of your stay, and all fish processing and packaging.

Are all lodging accommodations in the same location?
