Guests choose when to head out and return to camp on Foster’s guided fishing tours. Professional guides handle the heavy lifting and take guests for all-day fishing excursions on the upper, middle and lower Kenai River. Guides are masters of the local laws and know which fish are legal to catch, and how many, during different times of year. Foster’s professional guides load the boat, outfit guests in gear and provide more substantial fishing equipment that’s necessary for Alaskan fishing. Guides cater to the group’s needs throughout the tour and increase their odds of reeling-in fish after fish with their knowledge of the best fishing spots and techniques to use.
Kings are notorious trophy fish and the Kenai River holds the record for the largest caught (1984, 97 ¼ pounds). Kings are elusive and put up a challenging fight when they’re reeled-in; you will feel a unique sense of thrill, accomplishment and tiredness once a King is in your net.
